Annual Easter/Spring Party

Hello everyone in the Jones Family! We are resuming the annual tradition of the Easter/Spring Party in West Point, at the Dan Jones' home. (Sorry we are doing another party so soon after Adam's big shindig) We hope you all will come anyway. It will be on the 25th of April in the afternoon sometime. Put it on your calendars, now!! We will also sing Happy Birthday to Emmee (April 20th) and Cassee (May12th) too! We would like to grill out and have the egg hunt; hopefully the weather will be nice by then. More details will follow soon.

Family News!

I usually hear through mom what is happening in all of your lives. However, it would be fun if you could post it on this family blog. What new things are happening? People like us up here in Idaho would like to know so that we can be excited and support you! As for me I am graduating in three weeks! Yahoo!!!!!

BIG BOY

So I laid Chad on our scale today and he weighed 18lbs. Does that seem huge for a 6 week old? It seems huge to me. He is one solid boy.

a monthly get together

oh so funny! Last night Leesa (smith) grandpapa and I were just talking about a monthly family get together. Here are my ideas if you want. And if you already have plans disregard this post.

What if we had a get together on a specific Sunday each month (like the first) and each family had an assignment. One family could be in charge of the treat, another family a 5 minute max lesson (thus keeping all the little ones engaged), another family over a tribute for the birthday peeps, another family over the music crazy (march around or do actions)or simple, another over the activity, and a family to host (if that is a problem you could always come here but No Cupcakes!!!) But the main thing would be what we call "FAMILY BUSINESS". To my children that means they get to share there latest trick or talent or upcoming event. (they love love love to stand on the coffee table in the center and share(and of course we all ho0t and holler at there greatness) /also it helps the rest of us focus on the person sharing) For me it is to share something that is happening or has happened to us. This is a great way to learn about each other, cheer for each other and ultimately look out for each other.
I love this idea because it is everyone involved!! The kids aren't just sent outside or downstairs to play but we are all building each other up. I have learned a lot about my sweet Ryan nieces and nephew as well as the Nate and Leesa Joneseeeeey boys and have realized how I miss out by not hanging with them they are soooooo cool. We plan to have all the families over one by one and can't wait.
So........... do what you want with the idea! and that is what it is just an idea.

I feel silly

after I posted I went back to the blog and it showed all the comments for the month I don't know why it wasn't before sorry :)
Also, are we going to start having a monthly family party to celebrate everyone's birthdays for the month because there are so many of us?

Update from the South

Hello family,
first of all can we change the format of the blog to be like all of your personal blogs. I want to be able to see the months worth of posts and not just one post and all the comments. If that is okay with everyone else :)
Well Thank you to Dorothy who brought clothes over today and my girls were so cute I wish you had stayed 3 minutes longer. They were oohing and aahing and tried them all on and had so much fun so thank you.
Thank you Sarah for taking me out to dinner after being house bound with sick kids for 9 days. It was so nice and now I know what to do for my friends a month after they have had a baby. It is so nice to just get out for an hour.
Thank you mom for bringing the cookbook over the girls and I made multicolored meringues. We had so much fun although I didn't realize it takes so long to make them but the girls loved it.
Maybe we will make them again for an Easter treat for everyone to enjoy.
Jerome has had a couple of second interviews but no one has called back yet. He has been out washing windows now that the weather is getting nicer and has done great with that he earned $300 in the last 3 days maybe more we will see what happened today.
I emailed most if not all of you with my latest MaryKay promotion I hope you all got it and if you don't take advantage of it please tell any friends that may be interested.

To answer the question of who is changing the page, I'm guessing Julia changed the background. I changed the font colors a little bit ago so I could see the words on the other page design!
As for the calendar, isn't Matthew's birthday in March too? I think it's the 26th, but I'm not sure. Grandmama, you would know.
