the evan p jones'

we are all very crazy!!!!! evan is extremely busy at work with the basketball season coming up. he is also taking his last and hardest classes soooooooo if you feel to pray on his behalf , thank you thank you!!! some of you may have heard our house in under contract and we hope it all finalizes oct.24th. i have been crazy busy looking for a place to live. it got so crazy we decided to tone it down and rent til we find the "right" place for us and of course a screamin deal. so the place we will reside is in a large and spacious apartment in alpine. brynley loves school and is having a lot of "ah hah" moments learning to read. brynley also LOVES to sing!!! she recently started a drama/music class and loves it. her and kaleb are also in gymnastics and really enjoy it. kaleb doesn't like doing so many somersaults because he gets too DIZZY. kaleb has a best friend matthew that he catches bugs with and plays ball with i often hear them singing "called to serve" and "tell me the stories of Jesus." they are toooooo cute. Graysen no longer has a cast and as soon as it was off he was walking. he also loves bugs and tries to escape (out doors) every chance he gets. on saturday we went to the south towne expo ctr to see several books and a large poster of Graysen. his photographer had a huge display on him it was a lot of fun to see. and then sat night a high light for sure was the relief society general conference. i got to sit up real close in the conference center. i loved what pres. Uchtdorf said about finding happiness through creating and serving. i am so excited for conference.

Happy Birthday LP!

We are having a boy!

Well you already know that we are having a baby boy. We are so excited. Lyndsi was really cute on Sunday she suddenly said, "We heard the baby's heart beat wasn't that fun!" She is also being very sweet to her dolls wrapping them up in her blankets and caring them around so gently. The hardest part will be to keep her from picking up the baby but other than that she is going to be a great helper. Hailey might have more difficulty because she still wants me to carry her everywhere. I don't carry her everywhere but sometimes she just looks so cute and she is such a good cuddler.
Jerome didn't get the job we are hoping for but he has a lot of friends networking with him and so we hope soon he will get hired. But in the meantime if you know anyone that needs their windows washed as part of their fall cleaning let us know.

Job Outlook for Dan Jones

This week hopefully will bring some good news on the job front. I have a second interview with Nucor in Brigham City on Tuesday afternoon, then I have a phone interview (1st interview) Wednesday morning with a company called Dresser Inc. located in Salt Lake City. Last Friday I had a phone interview with GE in Houston, Texas and they invited me to come to Houston for a second interview. I am not sure when that one will take place, their HR department is supposed to get the flight arrangements for me. There is also a job fair on Tuesday geared towards manufacturing companies as well that I am going to try to get to.

The quarts of peaches count is in and Leesa did 145 give or take a few depending on if you count the ones that broke or didn't seal. Mind you, that is just peaches! Leesa has also done a bunch of pears, plums, apricots, salsa, beans, and syrup of various types. She also has attended two Saturday classes given by a kitchen store in Ogden. One was all about grains and the other was all about beans. She is excited to start using the wonderful things she is learning....she just needs me to get a job so that she can buy the equipment (I guess she learned how to make hamburgers out of wheat using a meat grinder). I think we are going to be having a lot of sprouts in the near future as well. Leesa is always excited to share her knowledge so don't feel bashful. Well, neadless to say, we have a fruit fly problem and our kitchen floor has been very sticky all summer. Ironically, Leesa has been very greatful that I have been out of work this summer...so that I can watch the kids while she does all this canning. Leesa second job was putting together the ward recipe book which she would stay up late entering in the recipes to the computer. We thought we were done but my neighbor said he had some nectorines that might go to waste if nobody picks them...we can't let that happen! We will probably go over there tomorrow morning to do some more fruit picking.  Who knows, we may have some apples to pick as well. Fruit comes out of nowhere when people know that you can it.

That is enough for now.

Happy 60th Birthday to Big Dad!

We began the celebration of Dad's 60th birthday with lots of fun in St. George with Marilyn and Corry and Judy and Norman!  Dad's golf team, the "Mulligans" shot a 66 and "Team Gimmee" shot a 76, our record!  We enjoyed two plays and look forward to a fun day on Monday with all of you!  We also got to enjoy seeing Julia and Casey for a few minutes on Saturday night.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSAY P!!!

Love,
Mom xo

Another Saturday

Well another Saturday has gone by. Jack played again! And I missed it! When signing the kids up to do these sports I was unaware at how many games would be played at the same time.
The girls and I were at their game where they won their first match! We finally played a team who was a more even match to our team.
By the way Sego Lily carnival is over and went great! Looks like we raised enough money to have a great next year!
Have a good one.

Jack Played!

Well I wasn't there but Jack played and continued to play in his soccer game today. He even scored 2 goals. My neighbor was there and took pictures. I will post them when I get them. I was at the girls volleyball game where Holly earned two points by serving and Sydney earned a point on receiving a serve. All very exciting. No Julia I haven't taken pictures of them yet.

Jack and I went up to the West Point Jones' and canned peaches with Leesa last Thursday. Thanks again Leesa! By the way they are really good. I should have taken a picture of that or at least a picture of all the peaches in the garage.

As for this week we hope you all have a great one!!!!

Casey's Birthday!

I just wanted to post a picture from Casey's birthday. It was this last week on the 16th. I made Casey his birthday breakfast.

Saturday, September 13, 2008

This is a cute picture of Casey and me before we took his brother Sam to the MTC.
Well today Saturday Sept 13th the girls had a volleyball game. They seem to be liking the sport and their team. Jack on the other hand does not like soccer and only wishes to play the first two minutes and sit out the rest. We shall see if we even finish out the rest of his games. The kids are liking school so far. Sydney decided to try the science demo team available to 6th graders which she had to write a couple of paragraphs on why she wanted to do it to be able to. They meet twice a week and teach the first graders little science lessons. She's been excited about that. She is also on the student council. She got to help read the morning announcements at school this past week. I'm hoping it will remain a good year. Holly has been dog sitting. She earned $30.00 the past two weekends and is at it again this weekend. It's perfect I dont have to have a dog and she gets her pet fix. Well have a lovely weekend!!!!!

Switched Internships

Hey Family-
I mentioned before how I was doing an internship with the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce. Well things have kind of changed in the past week. I will still be going to the Chamber a couple of days a week but now I am doing an internship at City Hall, and I am the Community Affairs Intern. Today was my first day and I started on a project designing something which was fun, but I felt that I needed a little more direction with what I was supposed to be doing. Hopefully when I go tomorrow things will be a little more organized. I get my own computer in an office and I even have an email address! Who knew someone could get excited about something so small hehe.

School has been going well this week which is good. How are all of you doing? You should post something on the Kitchen Sink!

School Again!

Hey Family-
Well the fall semester here at BYU-Idaho has officially begun. Casey is going to school full-time and working part-time. The first day of classes went well for him...which is good! I am going to my religion class tonight and hopefully it will go well too. I am also taking a geology lab on Wed. so we shall see how that goes. How is school for everyone in Utah? And if you know someone that wants to buy a 42" plasma screen TV let us know. Hope everyone is having a great day!

West Point Update

Emmalynn started preschool this week! Leesa and I were more excited than she was. When she came home from her first day we excitedly asked what she had learned and done. "Nothing, I learned nothing. We just colored. I didn't even get to play!", was her response. However, she didn't want to leave the school...I guess that shows how fun home is. Leesa gave Emmalynn her first piano lesson today and next week Emmalynn will start dance lessons. Cassee loves to shed her clothes three to four times a day...hopefully that changes as it gets cooler outside! I have had a couple interviews with ATK for two different positions. I should know if I got the job in the next couple of weeks. We are doing great...just being patient.

New Sports

Well the girls had their first volleyball practise today. We are trying out a new sport this fall. Should be exciting! Jack I think is grasping the concept of soccer. He didn't like his first soccer game to much. They blew the whistle at him cause he tried to pick up the ball. Should make for some exciting Saturdays for the next month. If you are needing some cheap intertainment give me a call I'll tell you when the games are. Have a good one.
